London 2025

When James turned 21 we went to Paris for his birthday.

This year turning 41- London!

Monday March 24,,2025

We have an evening flight from Boston to Newark.

delay departure from Boston because of fog. Had to shuttle to anotherbterminal and we were held on the tarmac over 15 min.  We get to the terminal and James sprints to the gate. I arrive by cart but too late. Jsmescsaid they closed the gate 30 seconds before he got there.

Plan B- we ride on the cart a long way and then have to walk a long way to the next plane leaving for London.

Long night.

Fun at Covent garden with hot chocolate and music.

Accidentally traveled over the Thames in the way back to our flat, getting on the bus the wrong way.  We must have walked 8-9 miles today.

James is fitting in.  A lady asked him for directions.

Dinner was Korean food.

Had a nice talk with Sara, leni and spencey

Linda called too!

Saturday

Tower of london!  Took the bus across the Thames.  Great view of the tower bridge.  We walked along the river and across the impressive tower bridge. We strolled into the tower of London for our tour, we started with the crown jewels and then toured the armory.  Great place to visit.

We had Chinese food for lunch and then took the tube down by the eye.  We had a coffee with James friend at the film institute. We took the tube back to our flat where we rested. I am pretty tired from the jet lag and a lot of walking from yesterday.  James went to a locsl bookstore to pickup a book.  When he returned we walked to an old pub called the lamb. A very old tavern. Leftovers for me, fish and chips for James.
